Lennon in demand

A week ago Neil Lennon’s job prospects were hanging by a thread as he prepared to continue his Hampden hoodoo against Glasgow specialists Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup.

This morning as the sun shines over Lennoxtown he is a leading candidate for three jobs.

A decisive, controlled, 3-0 win over Aberdeen showed that Lennon can comfortably deal with the toughest domestic challenges with something to spare.

That performance underlines his credentials to become permanent manager although neither the caretaker or the board of directors are saying anything about the big decision.

Elsewhere Lennon will have a smile as one Daily Record reporter talks up his prospects as the next Scotland manager, the prospect of him in a blue blazer and enjoying small talk with Rod Petrie and Alan McRae is unlikely.

Of more interest is a link in The Sun:

NEIL LENNON is on Fulham’s radar to be their next boss.

SunSport understands the already-relegated Cottagers have placed the stand-in Celtic manager on a list of candidates to succeed Scott Parker.

While their relegated squad after two managerial sackings is a train crash there is likely to be money available at Craven Cottage.

As the Celtic board get around to making a decision they might wish to take note that their current caretaker could have at least one decent option elsewhere.
