Since the final whistle blew on Sunday Gerrard has been talking constantly about how his players were provoked and how well they apparently played.
The match stats paint a very different picture with BBC Scotland registering just one shot on target from the Ibrox club.
Celtic dominated the first half, taking the lead through Odsonne Edouard before Alfredo Morelos picked up his fifth red card of the season.
Midway through the second half Gerrard’s side did enjoy great possession but there was a clear lack of chances created with Celtic also down to 10 men for the last 15 minutes plus stoppage time. In total Celtic had a one man advantage for 35 minutes.
Lennon and Gerrard have previously had a strong relationship, living in the same area of Glasgow but it is now clear that their relationship is deeply damaged.
