Social media came into it’s own following the death of Billy McNeill as supporters shared their memories and tributes to the greatest ever Celt.
It seems that every Celtic supporter met big Billy at some stage or knows someone who has with the stories related on and shared.
There are a few stock images of the former Celtic captain that although everyone is familiar with they will never tire of with most of those pictures taken in Lisbon.
The Celtic Park of today is much changed from the one that a certain coach drove up to in May 1967 with the European Cup on board.
In 2014 The Celtic Way emerged, creating a walkway from London Road up to the doors of the club with flag poles used to commemorate various achievements.
Towards the end of 2015 a statue was unveiled at the bottom of the Celtic Way, looking out onto London Road where any passing motorist will be able to recall Scottish football’s greatest moment.
