Oli Burke could be on the move again if West Brom fail to win promotion to the EPL.

The Midlands side were relegated a year ago but have their work cut out to make a quick return through the play-offs.

Automatic promotion looks out of reach leaving caretaker manager Jimmy Shan with a one in four chance of going up with a number of names linked with the manager’s job including Steve Clarke who has already had a period in charge at The Hawthorns.

Burke was a big money signing for Tony Pullis in the summer of 2017 but failed to establish himself under the Welshman, Alan Pardew or Darren Moore.

After initially making an impact at Celtic he has fallen out of favour under Neil Lennon but that situation could change in the summer if a permanent move becomes an option, at the right price.

The Birmingham Mail reports:

The winger still has three years left on his deal with the Baggies after signing a five-year contract back in 2017.

Should West Brom find themselves in the Championship next term, whoever the manager is, they may look to cash in on the Scottish international.

West Brom paid a fee of around £13m for Burke when they signed him from RB Leipzig.
