Scott Brown has visited a London specialist to have his broken toe assessed.
According to a report in the Daily Record the Celtic skipper suffered the injury during the 3-0 win away to Aberdeen but played in last week’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox.
On Thursday night Brown attended a Celtic Foundation Fund Raiser in London but also used the visit to have the extent of his injury assessed.
The midfielder will miss today’s SPFL clash with Hearts with everything geared around facing the same club at Hampden next Saturday.
There are various medical opinions on playing with a broken toe but after Hampden Brown can enjoy a six week recovery period before the opening Champions League tie of next season on July 9 or 10.
Neil Lennon is expected to rest most of his cup final side from today’s match with the hoops one match away from clinching a Treble Treble.
A very unfamiliar look to the team today.https://t.co/w1HvMG2nxw
