Celtic fans have slaughtered New Balance over the launch of the new home kit for next season.
There isn’t too much scope to alter the iconic hoops other than with the collar but for reasons best known to themselves the designers at New Balance have come up with something that has horrified many punters.
It seems that there is a green hoop missing from the shoulder area which gives the strip the appearance of being green hoops on white rather than an equal balance.
Overall there seems to be a shiny ‘Rugby League’ look to the home strip that doesn’t sit well. Producing a new kit every 12 months is demanding but it seems that someone has been more adventurous than necessary.
Following the death of two Lisbon Lions there has been a flood of images from that era on social media with the plain hoops standing the test of time.
Next month a second strip is expected to be launched by New Balance with the third kit revealed towards the end of July during the three day Celtic Festival at the SECC.

Terrible design, why all white on the shoulders and broken hoops. Worst home top for a while.

When does your current deal run out, just so we can all know when we’ll get a decent jersey design.
