Ryan Christie has laughed off the hysteria at Ibrox following the Glasgow derby success.

No trophies were handed out, the Blue Room remains bare but according to some Celtic have been plunged into crisis with nothing but clear blue skies over Ibrox with a silver lining.

Three points may have brought delight to Steven Gerrard’s side but a week on Saturday it could be another three trophies that Celtic fans are toasting through the close season.

Christie missed out on the action at Ibrox due to have multiple facial fractures he picked up during the Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen but was on the ball when speaking to the media today.

“When you look at it now, we’re going into the last two weeks with a trophy day and a cup final to look forward to and they certainly don’t have that,” he told The Sun.

“I think at the weekend Glasgow will definitely be green and white, that’s for sure.”

Up until the end of October it looked like Christie’s Celtic career was about to fizzle out as another project that fell short.

A devastating run of form starting in the Betfred Cup semi-final win over Hearts transformed his status at the club as he made his mark highlighted by the winning goal in the Betfred Cup win over Hearts.
