Neil Lennon is planning on playing a full strength team in Sunday’s Glasgow derby.

With the SPFL title won and the Scottish Cup Final two weeks away there has been a lot of chat on social media about resting players to ensure a peak performance at Hampden.

Celtic have been beset by injuries this season with Ryan Christie and Dedryck Boyata out for the remainder of the season with Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi still to kick a ball this year.

When he took over from Brendan Rodgers, Lennon inherited a treatment room with 11 players in it but should be able to field a recognisable side at Ibrox.

The Sun reports:

It is believed Lustig did light training on Wednesday, while Tierney is expected to finally go under the knife after the Scottish Cup Final on May 25, having managed his problem over the last month.

Lennon’s desperate to field as strong a side as possible to deliver another message to their rivals but is aware Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, his side guaranteed second and busy strengthening, wants his team to make a statement ahead of next season.

When Celtic lost at Ibrox in December it was with a heavily depleted side that suffered further when Filip Benkovic and Mikael Lustig failed to appear for the second half.

After being given three days off following the title clincher at Aberdeen the squad has been back in training since Wednesday with Lennon looking to maintain his unbeaten record through the visit to Ibrox.
