Rod Stewart was across the North Sea in Hamburg when Celtic clinched the title at Pittodrie but didn’t miss out on the weekend celebrations.
On stage he had a backdrop to the Lisbon Lions while there was no shortage of hoops among his backing singers to remind him of the club that he takes on stage across the globe.

Whenever he is in the UK Rod will almost always make his way to Glasgow’s east end, enjoying the March Glasgow derby victory sealed by James Forrest’s late shot past Allan McGregor.
In-between his Friday and Saturday night concerts Rod was able to watch the goals of Mikael Lustig, Jozo Simunovic and Odsonne Edouard deliver title number eight in the current run of success.
Those goals and the post match celebrations were echoed across the globe as pockets of Celtic supporters savoured clinching the title in a season that promised to fall apart at various stages.
Moussa Dembele and Brendan Rodgers may have moved on but the domestic stranglehold shows no sign of lessening with only Hearts standing between Celtic and a Treble Treble.
