Celtic reintroduced Neil Lennon as manager today with a 15 minute media conference alongside Peter Lawwell.
Six days after being offered the job at Hampden the appointment was confirmed with pre-season training starting in 17 days time.
Throughout his time as caretaker Lennon was at pains to point out that he was managing someone else’s side, now he has the chance to make his own impact on every aspect of the first team squad.
As he pointed out in the conference there will be no sweeping changes but by the time the first Champions League qualifier comes around on July 9/10 it will very much be Lennon’s side and responsibility.
No other appointments appointments were announced today with John Kennedy and Damien Duff continuing in their current roles alongside goalkeeping coach Stevie Woods.
A Head of Recruitment is still required but with dozens of scouts already in place producing reports work will already be well underway towards securing summer transfer targets.
