Neil Lennon feels that the season ahead should be Celtic’s 10-in-a-row campaign.

The Irishman was in his first full season in management back in 2010/11 with a new side funded by the sale of Aiden McGeady.

It was a season of highs and lows for the club but a festive win at Ibrox was followed by an impressive January with Kris Commons joining the club towards the end of the transfer window.

Going into the final straight Celtic faced difficult trips to Ibrox and Tynecastle but it was a midweek defeat at Inverness between those two fixtures that cost Celtic dearly.

When I look back on it, this should be my tenth, in my first season. We had it and let it slip at Inverness. That one still rankles with me so I’m owed one, somewhere along the line so the next one will be it

The win at Tynecastle saw Lennon attacked on the touchline during a shameful time in Scottish football, two men received jail terms for sending bullets and bombs to Lennon and others through the post.

In the final league match Lennon told the Celtic fans that ‘ this isn’t the end, it’s only the beginning’. Eight years on he has the chance to win a ninth title, the second Celtic manager to do so.
