Celtic linked defender posts cryptic transfer message

|

Tomas Kalas has hinted that he will be on the move again after playing for the Czech Republic in their 3-0 win over Montenegro.

The defender seems to be constantly sent out on loan by Chelsea and has been linked by The Sun with a move to Celtic after an impressive season on loan at Bristol City.

Whether he is available on loan or as a permanent transfer Celtic are likely to face competition from clubs in the English Championship.

Celtic are clearly in the market for central defenders with Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic no longer available.

Kalas joined Chelsea in 2010 but has enjoyed more game time elsewhere at Vitesse Arnhem, Cologne, Middlesbrough and Fulham before making 38 Championship appearances last season for Bristol City.

With Kris Ajer due at extended break due to his international commitments Jack Hendry and Jozo Simunovic are the only central defenders with first team experience due to report for pre-season training on Monday.

Although there is currently no panic over Neil Lennon’s first signing the games come pretty quickly for the new Celtic boss. On June 26 the hoops play their first pre-season friendly away to Pinkfeld with the first competitive match on July 9/10 in the Champions League first qualifying round.
