Stephen O’Donnell is in the dark about rumours he could be on his way to Celtic.

The right-back has become a regular in the Scotland side over the past year and has one year left on his Kilmarnock contract.

O’Donnell was a team-mate of James Forrest in the Celtic youth side before moving on to Partick Thistle and Luton Town before joining Kilmarnock in the summer of 2017.

Steve Clarke’s arrival took his game upto a new level but with 12 months left on his Rugby Park deal Killie have to decide whether to cash in now or lose the defender for nothing next summer.

The Sun reports:

O’Donnell has been linked with a summer move away from Killie, but he has no idea where talk about a transfer to Celtic has come from.

He added: “I’m going everywhere apparently. Motherwell is quite handy to get to, I guess! It’s flattering to be linked with these clubs, but I’d love to know the sources sometimes.”

Mikael Lustig is expected to decide this week whether or not to accept a new contract offer from Celtic.

With Cristian Gamboa and Jeremy Toljan now elsewhere Tony Ralston is the only right-back scheduled to report for Celtic’s pre-season training a week today.

O’Donnell will be in the Scotland side for tomorrow’s Euro 2020 qualifier away to Belgium.
