Tam McManus has reassured Celtic fans that Kieran Tierney ISN’T poised to sign for Arsenal.
The overnight news that the defender was leaving Celtic’s Austrian training camp caused meltdown among some fans on social media alongside the daily update that Arsenal are ‘poised to launch a fresh bid to to test Celtic’s resolve’
McManus was reasonably accurate on the David Turnbull transfer saga with Celtic fans hoping that he is on message with Tierney. McManus remains in contact with his former Hibs team-mate Scott Brown.
Kieran Tierney has flown home to use the Lennoxtown gym all he was doing was cycling in Austria and his rehab needs more than that so he’s flown home to work on his rehab/recovery in better facilities at Celtic. He has NOT been rushed home to sign for Arsenal or anyone else.

Thoughts of Tierney being unveiled at the launch of Arsenal’s new Adidas kit is haunting some Celtic fans but after seven months when he has rarely been close to full fitness the 22-year-old is simply looking to get back playing to his best in a Celtic shirt.
After getting little encouragement for their cheapskate approach to transfer business it seems that Arsenal’s attention is switching towards Wilfried Zaha- Crystal Palace’s £80m rated winger!
With a reported transfer budget of £45m there seems little prospect of the winger, apparently an Arsenal fan as a kid, getting to join his boyhood favourites.
It seems that Unai Emery will need to offload some of his side’s biggest earners if they are to do anything in the transfer market with last season’s top player, Aaron Ramsey preparing for the new season with Juventus.
No more of these type of signings, we have plenty of younger players waiting for a chance, we probably paid out around £500,000 in wages and signing on fee for a couple of games then out on loan in Januaryhttps://t.co/wllLYkpv66
