Neil Lennon isn’t fazed by Celtic’s lack of transfer activity.

In an ideal world the Celtic boss would be spending this morning how his new right-back and centre-half had settled in after their debuts in the 6-1 win over Pinkafeld.

There were no new faces in the Celtic side last night with less than a fortnight to go until the first competitive match of the season- away to FK Sarajevo in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.

Christopher Jullien seems close to filling the gap left by Dedryck Boyata running down his contract with talks on going to find a solution to David Turnbull’s medical problem.

Half a dozen free transfers could have been signed at any time but Lennon prefers to hold back to ensure that recruitment matches the demands and expectations of the club.

I want to see the right bodies not just new bodies,” he told the Daily Record. “That’s why negotiations are that bit more difficult.

We’re determined to bring real good quality in and I’m really positive about that. We’re not just signing players for the sake of it.”

With a fee agreed with Toulouse and personal terms sorted Jullien just requires to complete his medical before joining up with Celtic in Austria.
