Neil Lennon has warned his players not to repeat the actions of Olivier Ntcham.

After coming through the trip to Austria and Switzerland the hoops boss picked up on the report from France about how unhappy the midfielder was about missing out on a move to Porto last summer.

There was a lot of detail and unhappiness in the report which quickly appeared on-line for Celtic fans to weigh up.

Ntcham’s first season put him in line for a move to Porto- who reached the last 16 of the Champions League- but last season’s sluggish laboured displays will have killed off interest in the French u-21 internationalist.

Last summer Celtic were happy to facilitate the transfers of Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong, if the price is right the club will do business but hard luck stories spoon fed to the media won’t have the desired effect under Lennon.

I spoke to the players about it on Monday, I am not happy and the club isn’t happy,” the Irishman told The Sun. “I will speak to Olivier, but he should be talking to us before coming out with comments like that.

It doesn’t look good for him. For us, we sort of had half an idea he may be looking to move on but that should be kept private, and we will discuss it when he comes back.

It’s not hard for me at all. It’s hard for him. When I speak to Olivier it will be done privately but you can imagine that we find the comments untimely and not particularly accurate.”

In November Ntcham signed an improved Celtic contract running until 2022 but if the conditions are right for the club he is likely to move on this summer.
