Jack Hendry is on his way to Hull City on a season long loan.

The defender was brought to Celtic by Brendan Rodgers during the disastrous January 2018 transfer window that also involved Charly Musonda and Marvin Compper. Scott Bain was the saving grace of that window.

Hendry has featured in one top team match this year, Rodgers’ farewell to Motherwell in February and isn’t part of Neil Lennon’s plans.

The Daily Mail reports:

Jack Hendry is also likely to leave on loan to English Championship side Hull City.. A £1.5million signing from Dundee in January 2018, the 24-year-old has featured in just 25 games for the Parkhead side and last started in a 3-1 Europa League defeat to RB Salzburg in October last year.

There was a recent whatsapp exchange that appeared on social media in which an animal emohi featured which was claimed to be from a chat with the defender.

At the time it was laughed off at that Hendry would go going to Wolves but a deal for the Tigers, Hull nickname now seems likely.

Lennon has mentioned moving a few players on with others likely to follow Hendry out the door but with a further three seasons left on his hoops deal a permanent move for the ex Dundee man matching his current salary is highly unlikely.
