Taking a break from their regular revelations that Kieran Tierney is on the brink of joining Arsenal Sky Sports sources have today revealed details of ‘Alfredo Morelos turning down a £30m offer from China’.

On a number of levels the story doesn’t add up with fans quick to take it apart as well as highlighting the curious timing with the squirrel released soon after news of another legal defeat from Mike Ashley.

The £30m part of the offer is apparently the salary package on offer to Morelos at Hebei Fortune which would pay him more than Javier Mascherano. Hebei already have their quota of four foreign players, two from Argentina and two from Brazil.

Despite having signed three contracts in 24 months at Ibrox it’s believed that Morelos’ current contract is for around £20,000 per week, the Chinese ‘offer’ would take his weekly wage packet to £192,000 which would be even more life changing than the offer heading Tierney’s way from Arsenal.

According to the report the Ibrox side are holding out for £15m for the 12th best striker in Colombia. With a turnover of £32.6m last year producing losses of £14.3m any offer of £5m or above will be warmly welcomed by Steven Gerrard.
