He starts his big derby preview by claiming CELTIC fans will tell you ‘There’s Only One Broony’ but it’s not a chant that has ever been heard at a match.

And so obsessed Kris Boyd begins another article explaining why it is all over for Celtic, he started this sort of thing in September 2016 when a shot from Barrie Mackay went around the wrong side of the post in a six goal thriller.

Without his cameo role coming off the substitutes bench Boyd has got more time on his hands to predict the downfall of Celtic, yesterday on Sky Sports he predicted a 2-0 win for the home side in tomorrow’s derby.

In The Sun he explains:

Celtic have given Rangers hope and belief that they can win the championship this season. And if the hosts win, it’ll lay down a massive marker for the rest of the Premiership campaign. If Celtic are to avoid defeat, they need every player to shoulder the same burden of responsibility as Broony but a lot of the big players who have won past derbies simply won’t be there.

Griffiths has overcome problems in his life and deserves credit for doing so. But he’s still not returned to the heights he’s hit in the past. Gordon’s career at Celtic looks finished after losing his place to Scott Bain and now Fraser Forster.

Ajer, who’s suddenly become such an important player after being stuck behind Boyata and Filip Benkovic, is on the crock list. It’s been plain sailing for Celts when their team has been packed full of leaders but I can see the pendulum swinging away from them and that will worry the fans who love to cheer their influential captain.

It seems that Boyd hasn’t noticed Ajer being Celtic’s first choice central defender since the turn of the year, he may or may not recall a goal-line clearance at Celtic Park at the end of March.

During his own incredible career which spanned 19 years and saw him score more goals in the SPL than anyone else Boyd scored ONE goal against Celtic.
