Complications push back Taylor deal

The Daily Record is reporting that the transfer of Greg Taylor is dependent on Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller going to Kilmarnock- Hendry on loan and Miller on a permanent two year contract.

Such deals are often proposed but rarely get completed with the complications of three sets of agents involved and two players dragged in to what is unlikely to be their preferred move.

Miller and Hendry know that they won’t get a look in at Celtic but with nine months left on Miller’s deal and the best part of three years to run on Hendry’s contract both players have very different priorities

The Record reports:

A three-way deal for the Kilmarnock and Scotland full-back, which involved Hoops fringe men Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller going the other way, saw both clubs frantically working late on Saturday night to complete.

With those complications involved a quick deal is unlikely with completion likely to be put back till Monday as the clock ticks down. Celtic and Kilmarnock will be keen to get the Taylor aspect completed but the other agents involved will be chasing around for other interest in their clients.

Kilmarnock’s priority is to bring in goalscorers, Stephen O’Donnell is top SPFL scorer with two for the season, the only goals that Angelo Alessio’s side has scored in four SPFL matches.
