Neil Lennon will be without Kris Ajer and Jozo Simunovic at Ibrox today with three of his defenders playing in the Glasgow derby for the first time.

Fraser Forster replaces Craig Gordon, Hatem Abd Elhamed returns after missing three matches to join Christopher Jullien, Nir Bitton and Boli Bolingoli in a new look defence.

Three comfortable wins in the SPFL and a place in the group stage of the Europa League has been earned despite a constantly changing back four- and goalkeeper.

Forster becomes the third goalkeeper to play in four matches with more traffic expected before the transfer window closes.

Last season Celtic were savaged by injuries for both visits to Ibrox with Mikey Johnston in December and Oli Burke in May chosen to play the role of sole striker.

The home side have started the season with three wins in the SPFL with Steven Gerrard’s squad still intact with no interest from any club in their stars despite the former Liverpool youth coach regularly bracing himself for bids. Jermain Defie has been preferred to Alfredo Morelos in attack.

CELTIC: Forster; Elhamed, Jullien, Bitton, Bolingoli; McGregor Brown; Forrest, Christie, Johnston; Edouard

SUBS Gordon, Bauer, Hayes, Ntcham, Morgan, Bayo, Griffiths
