Neil Lennon is hopeful of having Leigh Griffiths in his squad to face Kilmarnock on Sunday.

The striker was an unused substitute at Hamilton last Saturday but missed out on the squad that travelled to Rennes on Europa League duty.

With three matches coming up in a seven day spell Neil Lennon will be looking to use the depth in his squad with the former Hibs striker a priceless option in attack.

At 6 minutes 45 seconds Lennon said:

We’re hoping that he will be fit for the weekend. It was a dead leg, he had a scan, I’ve not got the results of the scan, it’s nothing serious or too prolonged.

After being out of contention for six months last season Griffiths made a flying start to the new season with goals against St Johnstone and Motherwell in the opening SPFL matches.

Since then Vakoun Bayo has emerged as the first replacement for Odsonne Edouard with Celtic starting the SPFL season with five wins on the bounce.

Domestically Lennon has stuck to playing with just one striker but if all three are fit he has shown in Europe that he is willing to play with two players in attack.
