Odsonne Edouard didn’t waste much time to check out social media after notching a hat-trick for France against the French u-21 side.
A scan across the networks highlighted the striker as the main talking point with the player himself sharing Celtic acknowledging his hat-trick.
Those goals took his total for the season at u-21 level to nine from four matches, or as one twitter account noticed a goal every 29 minutes!
That scoring run puts Edouard into competition with Moussa Dembele for a place in next summer’s Olympic Games squad although both players will have ambitions to be involved at the European Championships.
More immediately Celtic will be looking for the Frenchman to be on target against Ross County on Saturday as the hoops resume their challenge in the SPFL ahead of next Thursday’s Europa League tie at home to Lazio.
