Celtic fans were quick to remind Robbie Savage that no title medals are handed out in October.

During his long and distinctly mediocre career the Welshman never got neat winning a title with a single League Cup winners medals from his Leicester days with Martin O’Neill the only gong from his playing days.

Savage likes to think of himself as a media character as he attempts to wind up Chris Sutton over Scottish football matters which seems limited to any time Celtic have a poor result.

Eight matches into the SPFL season, having played five matches away from home including a game at Ibrox, Celtic find themselves two points behind going into the October international break.

One point from the last two away matches, two goals in the last three gives the Celtic boss food for thought as he juggles the challenges of competing for three different trophies.

At Livingston today Celtic never adapted to the plastic pitch and the pin-ball style of play from their opponents who were given free reign to hammer into industrial-style challenges with little prospect of action being taken by Willie Collum.
