Steven Thompson has accused Aberdeen of lying down to Celtic.
The Sportscene pundit watched the hoops smash four goals past the Dons in a devastating first half and immediately decided to point the finger at Derek McInnes’ side.
Last week Celtic took six goals off Ross County then beat Lazio in the Europa League but the quality of the visitors to Pittodrie was too difficult for Thompson to acknowledge.
In 2003 Chris Sutton was given a three match SFA suspension after accusing Dunfermline of lying down to the old club from Ibrox on the final day of the season. Thompson was in the team that thrashed the Pars 6-1 to claim the SPL title on goal difference.
Here is the so called “pundit” Steven Thompson being impartial and accusing Aberdeen players of laying down to Celtic.
You can hear the pain in his voice.

Covering his appearance on Sportscene The Sun reports:
They were awful in that first-half… they were pathetic. You can understand why the supporters are really frustrated and angry with that performance because they just lay down to Celtic. It was toothless from them.
According to the BBC Thompson received EBT payments of £485,000 guaranteed by a side letter.
After scoring twice in 34 matches for St Mirren during the 2016/17 Championship season Thompson retired from playing to step up his media work which mainly consists of co-presenting SPFL Championship football on a Friday night and his Sportscene slot alongside Michael Stewart.
