Kenny Miller has warned the rest of the SPFL that Celtic are capable of doing ‘an Aberdeen’ on any club in the country.

The Partick Thistle star was on BT Sport duty for Thursday’s win over Lazio then looked on as Neil Lennon’s side humbled Aberdeen with four first half goals on Sunday.

Scotland duo Scott McKenna and Mikey Devlin were left chasing shadows as Celtic attacked from all angles to reinforce their place at the top of the SPFL Premiership.

After enjoying the excitement of being top of the table through the recent international break reality is making an unwelcome return to Ibrox with Miller breaking the party line when he appeared on Radio Scotland last night.

Most pundits like to predict that the title race will ‘go to the wire’ but after going to Ibrox, Pittodrie and Fir Park in their first 10 fixtures Celtic are in a strong position to break free at the top with five of their next six SPFL matches at home.

Picking up on the discussion on Radio Scotland last night The Sun reports Miller saying:

I would say they are favourites. I would definitely say they are favourites and rightly so but I do think Rangers have got everything in terms of what Michael (Stewart) has alluded to with Celtic – although it’s still to be proven.

When Celtic click into gear, they can do that to anybody. We have seen it domestically for a number of years now and even in European games – they can hurt very very good European teams when they click into gear.

In their last three matches Celtic have picked up full points from two SPFL matches with a goal difference of 10-0 as well as beating Lazio 2-1 to top their Europa League group at the halfway stage.
