Lennon reveals what Edouard’s representatives told him

|

Odsonne Edouard and his representatives are perfectly happy with his progress at Celtic.

Nine goals for the French u-21 side over the last ten days has sent a reminder to clubs across Europe of the prolific young striker who lost his way on loan at Toulouse.

Edouard almost won the u-17 European Championships for France in 2015 on his own, scoring 8 of their 15 goals as they lifted the trophy including a hat-trick in the final against Germany.

It seems that an incident involving an air gun while at Toulouse almost derailed his career but since joining Celtic, initially on loan in 2017, his career has resumed its upward path.

Lennon is well aware of vultures eyeing a January move for his first-choice striker but has no concerns about Edouard ‘working his ticket’.

Covering yesterday’s media conference, The Sun reports:

I think it is fantastic that he is playing so well for club and country. He’s started to turn himself into a really prolific goal scorer. Speaking to his representatives they’re happy with the way things are going. Long may that continue.

Edouard will lead the line for Celtic today as the hoops host Ross County ahead of Thursday’s Europa League tie against Lazio.
