Neil Lennon watched Celtic dismantle Cluj then enthused that there is more to come from his side.

In most circumstances a 2-0 home win in a group match is something to savour but on his own Christopher Jullien could easily have doubled the scoreline.

Two months ago Celtic lost four goals to the same opponents but tonight Fraser Forster kept a clean sheet with only an isolated threat from the Romanian champions.

Covering Lennon’s post match interview with BT Sport the BBC reported:

My only disappointment is that we didn’t win the game by more. We were really assured. The whole team functioned perfectly as a group. It was very exciting and it’s great to be a manager back on that stage at Celtic Park. We’re top of the group and it’s a great start, but the group is still very open.

Celtic were never under any real threat, after 20 minutes Callum McGregor and Boli Bolingoli opened up the Cluj defence to allow Odsonne Edouard to head in the opening goal.

Just before the hour mark Mo Elyounoussi won possession in the centre of the park, set James Forrest racing down the right then netted from the cut-back via a Cluj thigh.

In three weeks time Lazio visit Celtic Park as the group reaches the half-way mark with every chance that the hoops could be sitting on top of clubs from Italy, France and Romania.
