Kevin Clancy is back in the firing line at Tynecastle on Sunday with his first domestic appointment since his bizarre performance in the Hibs v Celtic match.

During the second half Celtic were denied two clear penalty kicks when Ryan Christie and Moritz Bauer were fouled in full view of the referee. During a first half flashpoint Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom was sent to the stand with the SFA dishing out a two match touchline ban.

Clancy was missing from the SPFL roster the following week but will be the man in the middle on Sunday when Steven Gerrard takes his side to face Hearts at Tynecastle.

That fixture is one of the toughest in the Scottish game with only referees on the FIFA list put in charge.

Celtic’s home match on Saturday will be refereed by Don Robertson who also took charge of the hoops recent 1-0 win away to Hamilton Accies.

In his last appointment Robertson sent off Curtis Main and Lewis Ferguson during Aberdeen’s 1-1 home draw with Hibs.
