Moi Elyounoussi has belatedly picked up the Ladbrokes Player of the Month award for October with the news broken by Celtic TV.
Ladbrokes don’t sponsor the award for any other reason than to get maximum exposure but with Celtic TV getting an exclusive it appears that broadcasters and publishers are giving the news a wide berth. Some pictures holding up the award alongside a few words brings priceless publicity.
Normally news of the award is broken in unison by all broadcasters with follow up interviews given to the Daily Newspapers, that was the process when Angelo Alessio was given the Manager of the Moth award.
Elyounoussi’s interview with Celtic TV was hardly block-buster stuff as he discussed his move to Celtic, compared the winter in Scotland and Norway and revealed that Moritz Bauer is his neighbour.
No word was given on the injury that ruled him out of international duty with Norway, hoops fans will need to wait until Friday to find out if the on-loan winger will be available to face Livingston or whether he will be out for an extended period.
