Kris Boyd has followed the Craig Beattie Thought Train by questioning the mentality of Celtic’s Treble Treble winners.

It seems to some that winning nine successive trophies plus eight SPFL titles in a row leaves questions about the character of the Celtic squad!

That’s the squad that crushed the Warbo Revolution, that reduced Pedro Caixinha to discussing barking dogs and caravans and welcomed Steven Gerrard to management with a clean sweep of trophies. In-between times there were two bouts of Murty Mania that also did nothing to disrupt Celtic’s progress.

The current Celtic squad has dealt with answering every question thrown at them. In February they shrugged off the overnight departure of Brendan Rodgers by winning at Tynecastle and Easter Road within a week to stay on course for another Treble.

Digging out the crystal ball that tipped at home win in the September Glasgow derby, today Boyd tells Sun readers:

Win (for Gerrard) the Old Firm game in particular and suddenly there’s pressure on Neil Lennon’s side that some of those players have simply never dealt with before.

I heard someone say recently Rangers could easily implode again if they’re not careful, but I’d say the same about Celtic. Watch them panic if they lose to Rangers.

Watch them start to ask themselves if they’re still the team they were going into the second half of the season. For me that game is massive.

With Beattie and Boyd sharing their thoughts in public the deluded will always have hope that Celtic’s run of success is about to end.
