One Celtic fan has put together a tweet showing the incredible similarities between two Celtic goals at Ibrox scored a generation apart.

For added measure Harry Hood and Lubo Moravcik both spent time as residents of Bothwell.

Moravcik’s goal in 2001 is the better known of the two goals, coming in a glorious 3-0 win for Martin O’Neill’s Treble winners. Earlier in the season Celtic had lost 5-1 at Ibrox but with the title secured Lubo turned in a master-class that left the home defenders lunging at shadows as the hoops rattled in three second half goals to the delight of 7,500 fans in the Broomloan Road Stand.

Like a number of players Hood had a special knack for finding the net in a Glasgow derby and didn’t mess about after joining Celtic from Sunderland in March 1969 for £50,000.

Six months later at Ibrox he raced down the left, invited a lunge from Ronnie McKinnon then slammed his shot into the net before John Greig could get back to prevent the only goal of the game.

In 312 games for Celtic Hood scored 123 goals, CLICK HERE to read about him in the Celtic Wiki.
