Mikey Johnston ignored the health drinks and supplements to enjoy a first half cuppa during Celtic’s 3-1 win over Rennes in the Europa League.

The young winger has been out in the cold since the start of September but returned to action in the 67th minute and found himself on the scoresheet seven minutes later.

Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths looked on slightly bemused as their team-mate enjoyed his cuppa with the moment captured by the watching BT Sport cameras.

Soon after his brew Johnston was out of his seat as Lewis Morgan opened the scoring with a well timed run to meet a James Forrest cut-back down the left flank.

Just before the interval Ryan Christie stretched Celtic’s lead with Johnston putting the hoops 3-0 in front in the 74th minute.

Rennes did pull back a late goal but it provided little in the way of a consolation as they slumped to their fourth successive defeat- the exact reverse run as Celtic have been on since the two clubs met in France in September.
