Back in June Radio Clyde handed over their Super Scoreboard phone-in to Ewen Cameron.

The DJ claims to be a Hearts fan but seems to be most excitable when it comes to matters Ibrox related with the appointment of Steven Gerrard a particular high.

In the early days of June, the permanent appointment of Neil Lennon as Celtic boss was the big talking point with sneering and derision coming from those who had suffered most during the Treble Treble years.

With Brendan Rodgers gone there was hope of a break in the trophy domination. Lennon was old school with the exciting young talent at Ibrox about to mastermind a handover of power.

For Hearts fan Cameron the new season couldn’t come quickly enough with thoughts about Celtic appearing to take priority over events at Tynecastle.

Covering his appearance on Radio Clyde The Sun reported:

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard the stand-in host said: “Celtic won’t win a treble again. That’s it, it’s gone. The treble Treble is done. It’s not going to happen. They might win a cup but they won’t win the league.

“Rangers will stop them winning nine-in-a-row. I’m making that bold prediction tonight here on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard. Celtic will not win the league under Neil Lennon and I’ll tell you another thing, he might not last till Christmas.”

Later in the show, Cameron added: “Can I just put on record I don’t want Lennon sacked. I’ve got a lot of time for Neil Lennon. I’ve had a great relationship with him over the years and interviewed him on countless occasions.

“I’m talking purely based on what has happened and what might happen going forward. I just think it was a mistake bringing Neil Lennon back. He could well go and prove me wrong. If Rangers are top of the league come the first Old Firm game of the season and Rangers win that, Lennon doesn’t survive.”

As he opens his presents from Santa on Wednesday the real world will be a cruel place for Cameron. As he looks at Hearts isolated in bottom spot things get worse as he looks 10 points higher and sees Lennon’s team five points clear at the top of the table.

Yesterday he shared his frustration on Twitter, from Celtic fans there was no sympathy. Hopefully 2020 will be a year without the champions having to visit Tynecastle with manager number three, Daniel Stendel, facing serious questions after starting with three defeats as he prepares for Hibs and Aberdeen before the year is out.
