Tom English couldn’t hold back his anger as he watched Celtic lift the League Cup at Hampden.
The BBC reporter had a front row seat as the hoops clinched their 10th successive domestic trophy- a record that no club has ever got near in the 140 years of Scottish football.
As ever, media neutrals like to tell supporters that refereeing decisions even themselves out over the course of a season. One week Kevin Clancy will deny your side two clear penalties away to Hibs, two months later you get the benefit of the doubt with a marginal offside decision in a cup final.
The biggest jailbreak since Andy Dufresne bust out of Shawshank. An offside winner, a saved penalty that should have been retaken, another penalty (Brown on Morelos) that should have been given. Forster inspired. Morelos wasteful. Celtic champions. Again

Dry yer eyes Tom.

Clearly overlooked by the BBC man were the eight fouls given against Alfredo Morelos which failed to merit even a yellow card from Willie Collum. The match referee also missed the Ibrox striker raking his studs down the achilles of the Chris Jullien after he had cleared a ball.
That incident forced Celtic to kick the ball out of play, English overlooked the lack of sportsmanship from the Ibrox players who refused to return the ball back, trying to create an equaliser from an opponents injury.
Do you think Arfield should have been red carded as well? For his challenge on Christie after the missed penalty. Outrageous

Honest endeavour did it Tom. Just like Andy Dusfrense

Haha, how angry and upset can one man be? It is delicious to see the pain.

You forgot worst case of un-sportsmanlike behaviour I’ve seen since Motherwell game at Parkhead. Plus the fact that barn doors were wholly untroubled by the crack Ibrox attack. Oh…and El Guffalo’s rake down Jullien’s achilles. But you wire in Tom. 10 in a row, and more to go ?

Buffalo brains seems unbookable now. Should’ve walked – yet another game against Celtic where he kicks out at players without punishment, yet another game he doesn’t score against Celtic ???

You were giving EBT Dodds and McCann a close run on the wireless there in the pain stakes but that tweet has put you ahead of the pack.

That will keep him onside with his paymmasters at the Beeb. Doing his utmost to asuage their core demographic’s collective pain……..love it.

Not a big a jailbreak as industrial scale cheating for at least a decade, going bust, cowardly hacks like you accepting it and letting them kid on they survived with the rogue trophy’s. Never forget the past you and your colleagues played in it.
