Neil Lennon is confident that Celtic’s left-back position will be resolved for Sunday’s League Cup Final at Hampden.

Greg Taylor has played in that position for the last two matches but after playing for Kilmarnock against Hamilton earlier in the competition he will watch the Hampden action from the stand.

Boli Bolingoli has been the regular first choice this season but has been absent since suffering a hamstring injury in the 5-2 semi-final win against Hibs a month ago.

When Jonny Hayes popped his shoulder last week against Livingston it looked like Lennon was running out of options but the former Aberdeen man is looking like being available for Sunday’s Hampden showdown.

After the 4-1 win over Ross County The Sun reported Lennon saying:

Moi (Elyounoussi) should be training Wednesday or Thursday so he should have a good chance of making it. Boli we’re not sure on yet. He might be a doubt but Jonny should be fine.

Celtic face Hamilton on Wednesday with all eyes on who is available for that match and who is watching from the stand.

Bolingoli and Hatem Abd Elhamed would need to face Hamilton to be in contention for Hampden while Elyounoussi and Hayes having only been out for a couple of games could still make it even if they sit out the Accies game.

Olivier Ntcham was missing from today’s match with no word on the reason or extent of any injury.
