Celtic won the League Cup for the fourth season running with a dramatic win at Hampden today.
Chris Jullien scored the only goal of the game on the hour mark but the hoops hero was goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The on-loan Southampton keeper put in an outstanding 90 minutes as he defied the Ibrox men time and time again, leaving star striker Alfredo Morelos heart-broken at the final whistle.
Three minutes after Jullien scored it looked like the game was swinging away from Neil Lennon’s side. Jeremie Frimpong was red carded with James Tavernier handing penalty duty to Morelos.
Forster dived low to his right; Morelos shot in that direction with the keeper pushing the effort away.
There was still another 30 minutes for Celtic to survive but the longer the game went on the stronger Forster became. When the final whistle blew the hoops were victorious with the lions share of the glory falling to the Great Wall on loan from Southampton.
