An incredible 90% of Celtic fans would be in favour of pulling Ryan Christie, James Forrest, Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor out of the Scotland international squad.

In the most popular poll ever run on this website over 2,700 fans took part with the split between fans barely moving since being launched on New Year’s Day.

Judging by the comments and feedback the result of the poll was a display of frustration split between the Celtic board and the SFA.

While the SFA is viewed suspiciously led by Rod Petrie and Ian Maxwell the lack of action by the Celtic board of directors is also a factor in the frustrations of supporters.

A year ago a Celtic statement called for transparency over John Beaton’s display at the Ibrox Glasgow derby.

At the Celtic AGM in November Peter Lawwell revealed that the matter had been resolved in private. On Tuesday the SFA announced that Ryan Christie had been offered a two match suspension for an incident in the derby fixture two days earlier.

Scotland’s next match is the Euro 2020 Play Off semi-final against Israel, if successful they will play Norway or Serbia for a place in the European Championship Finals.

If Scotland reach the finals two of their group matches will be staged at Hampden with the finals running close to the start of next season’s UEFA qualifiers.
