Filip Benkovic met up with Neil Lennon’s agent, Martin Reilly, at last night’s English League Cup semi-final tie between Leicester City and Aston Villa.
Football agents do tend to go to football matches but this coincidence is bound to have Celtic fans wondering if the Croat defender will be returning on loan to Glasgow.
Until injury brought his season to a halt in January Benkovic enjoyed a very successful loan period at Celtic last season where he linked up instantly with Dedryck Boyata.
That defensive combination got Celtic through the group stage of the Europa League but with Boyata’s contract running down it was never going to be a long term solution.

Benkovic has barely had a look in at Leicester this season as Brendan Rodgers’ side moved into second place in the EPL.
Another loan deal has been suggested but after a season at Celtic it’s likely that Leicester will be looking for a different type of challenge for their £13m defender.
