Celtic could miss out on signing Andraz Sporar as Slovan Bratislava continue with very public transfer talks.

The 25-year-old striker seems certain to leave the Slovakian side this month with club director Ivan Kmotrik claiming that Celtic have been the most aggressive club in negotiations.

Slovan are looking to receive £7m for Sporar but it’s not Celtic’s side to get involved in public negotiations with Neil Lennon confirming an interest but denying that any bid had been made.

This morning the BBC Scotland Gossip column claims:

Celtic have been warned they risk missing out on Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporor, with the Slovakian side claiming to have received offers from “several clubs” for the 25-year-old while the Parkhead outfit have yet to make a bid. (Daily Mail, print edition)

Dinamo Kiev and Bristol City have been credited with an interest in Sporar, over the last week Celtic have also been linked with moves for Glenn Murray of Brighton and Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp.

Odsonne Edouard has virtually been a one man strike force this season with Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Bayo contributing just four goals so far in the SPFL Premiership.

At the weekend John Kennedy confirmed that Celtic were in the market for a striker and hoped to have signed someone within a fortnight.
