Luca Connel is in talks over a loan move to Sunderland.
The midfielder joined Celtic from Bolton in the summer on a four year contract after making 14 appearances in the Championship as Bolton battled against relegation and administration.
Connel featured in some pre-season friendlies but has been unable to break into the first team where Neil Lennon has numerous midfield options.

With no formal reserve team matches Celtic have been busy over the last week with Lee O’Connor, Jonathan Afolabi and Conor Hazard moving out to Scottish Championship sides.
A year ago Lewis Morgan went on loan to Sunderland with new boss Phil Parkinson taking over from Jack Ross earlier this season.
Sunderland are sitting in fifth place in League One, five points and a game in hand away from an automatic promotion place. Last season they lost out to Charlton in the Play Off Final. On Saturday Sunderland are away to Portsmouth.
