Martin Boyle is a transfer target for Huddersfield Town.

Last week the Hibs winger was linked with a move to Celtic after Tosh McKinlay and Nicky Hammond watched him in successive matches.

Boyle was one of Hibs’ best players under Neil Lennon but the hoops boss didn’t provide much encouragement when he was asked about the winger with relations between Celtic and Hibs rather chilly after John McGinn moved to Aston Villa.

A valuation of £3m from Jack Ross further reduced the prospects of a move to Glasgow with the Daily Record reporting Yorkshire as a more likely destination for the Australian internationalist.

Huddersfield Town have joined the chase for Hibs winger Martin Boyle. The Easter Road winger is attracting interest from south of the border as clubs look to make last-minute deals prior to the close of the transfer window.

Record Sport understands Boyle is on the radar of the English Championship outfit having been scouted by Terriers staff during Tuesday’s William Hill Scottish Cup success over Dundee United.

The 26-year-old has been in brilliant form in recent weeks and Huddersfield’s scouting network have brought him to the attention of gaffer Danny Cowley.

Last week Lennon spoke of bringing in a ready-made winger in the mould of Moi Elyounoussi but over the last 48 hours the Celtic boss has dampened down expectations of a third January signing.

With Scott Sinclair sold to Preston, Lewis Morgan on route to Inter Miami and injury doubts over Elyounoussi and Mikey Johnston Celtic are short of options on the wing.
