Vakoun Bayo won’t be leaving Celtic today- unless Neil Lennon is able to bring in another striker.

The Ivorian joined Celtic a year ago but has failed to make much of an impression with Leigh Griffiths back in favour and Patryk Klimala signed earlier this month.

One report from Austria earlier this week recalled interest in Bayo from Rapid Vienna a year ago although it stopped short of suggesting that it was about to be revived.

The Daily Record reports:

Lennon said: “The only way Bayo would go is if we brought another one in. I want to run with four strikers.”

So far Celtic have signed two 21-year-olds during the transfer window but neither Klimala or Ismaila Soro are expected to go straight into Lennon’s first team.

Jack Hendry, Lee O’Connor, Jonathan Afolabi and Conor Hazard have gone out on loan with Luca Connell expected to complete a loan move later today.

Lewis Morgan has still to complete his move to Inter Miami but the American transfer window remains open until the end of February.
