There appears to be little weather threat to Celtic’s match at Aberdeen with the worst of Storm Dennis failing to reach the north-east.

Strong winds of upto 50mph can be expected when the match kicks off at 12 noon, Video Celts’ man in the Granite City reporting no rain at 8am this morning with the sun out.

Drivers from the west of Scotland can expect to encounter some problems on the road but Neil Lennon’s squad made the journey yesterday and enjoyed an overnight hotel stay.

Yesterday SPFL Premiership matches at Ibrox and Fir Park fell victim to the weather with the Ibrox fixture rearranged in record time for today at 3pm.

The noon kick off gives Neil Lennon’s squad the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table to 13 points if they can maintain their 100% record.

Since the turn of the year Aberdeen have lost 1-0 at home to Motherwell and St Johnstone but did win 3-1 away to Hamilton in midweek with top scorer Sam Cosgrove left out for Curtis Main.

On Wednesday Derek McInnes’ side face Kilmarnock in a Scottish Cup replay at Rugby Park.
