‘Probably a good result’ was Chris Sutton’s verdict after Celtic’s 1-1 draw away to Copenhagen.

Before the match it was a scoreline that Neil Lennon would have accepted, after a first half dominating play it looked like Celtic could have had the tie done and dusted.

In the first ten minute Karl-Johan Johnsson twice blocked impressively from Odsonne Edouard but in the 14th minute the Frenchman made the breakthrough after a break down the right saw play switched across the 18 yard line before the Frenchman dinked the ball over the onrushing keeper and inside the post.

From the first minute of the second half the Danes looked a different side with Dame N’Doye equalising in the 52nd minute.

Celtic were under pressure but created a couple of chances on the break with Johnsson saving at point blank range from Edouard.

In the 79th minute Copenhagen were awarded a VAR penalty for handball against Ryan Christie but Fraser Forster came to the rescue touching Jens Stage’s penalty onto the post.
