The rolling news cycle around Alfredo Morelos has gone full circle.
Out with the transfer window there are the usual Scottish based stories of interest from exotic foreign clubs who are usually keeping tabs on the Ibrox striker.
Steven Gerrard then issues his hands-off warning accompanied by various former players explaining how valuable he is with far fetched comparisons made to Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard.
Some obscure and pointless stats are thrown in alongside quotes from Colombia about his international prospects. One day he might even play in a competitive match for his country. Morelos also does extensive charity work with the cameras always on hand.

As the transfer window passes without any interest in someone that picked up seven red cards in 17 months things take a ridiculous turn with Barcelona and Liverpool speculated over.
This morning Daily Record readers are being treated to the news that their star striker has opened talks over signing a third contract extension since leaving HJK Helsinki in 2017.
It’s unclear if the contract talks will be held in Spanish, English or if any translation services will be required.
Andy Halliday is out of contract at the end of this season and is able to sign a pre-contract deal with any non-Scottish club.
