FC Copenhagen have posted an incredible Brexit tweet ahead of their Europa League clash with Celtic.

Football clubs rarely venture near politics, especially a topic as controversial as Brexit but the Danes have waded in as they welcome the Scottish champions.

Early in the video a clip shows Nicola Sturgeon saying ‘Scotland faces the prospect of being taken out of the EU against our will’.

While the Scottish government appear to be fighting a losing battle to remain in the EU Celtic are mostly certainly still involved with around 3,000 fans expected in the Danish capital for tomorrow’s match.

Neil Lennon’s side are favourites to go through over two legs but after crashing out of the competition at this stage to Valencia and Zenit St Petersburg no-one will be taking anything for granted.

The Celtic boss will have Jozo Simunovic and Jeremie Frimpong available after recent injury problems with his squad looking healthier than at any time this season.

VAR will be in operation for both legs of the tie but the UEFA version sees referees check decisions pitchside rather than being instructed remotely.
