A report in the Daily Record claims that Celtic have ‘eased their stance’ with Sky Sports ahead of today’s live match at Aberdeen.

The obvious compromise is to allow live interviews to take place, pre recorded interviews allow Sky to use the same editing team that worked on the Alfredo Morelos interview to twist the words to their agenda.

Sky hasn’t had access to Celtic’s media conferences over the last 10 days and haven’t been given an exclusive interview with Neil Lennon and a player to preview today’s game.

Celtic have complained to Ofcom about a Sky Sports interview with Alfredo Morelos in which it was falsely claimed that he accused Celtic fans of racist actions.

The striker spoke in Spanish with major problems in translation, Morelos never even mentioned Celtic. The interview was broadcast on a loop for a whole day on Sky Sports News and Sky Sports with the comments gleefully reported by other media outlets.

Sky refused to explain how the translation came about, Celtic refused the broadcaster media access with today the Daily Record reporting:

Celtic banned Sky in the past week but, have taken a decision to ease their stance ahead of the Premiership match tomorrow lunchtime at Pittodrie.

MailSport understands the situation is not fully resolved and that there are still concerns from within Parkhead over the handling of the Morelos interview.

However, it is believed Hoops chiefs will wait for the findings of an Ofcom investigation before further assessing their position.

Sky’s coverage begins at 11.30am today and is expected to include former Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd.
