Gary Holt has hit out at the SPFL for rescheduling his side’s visit to Ibrox at record breaking notice.

Saturday’s match was called off just before 1pm, before 3pm the match had been rescheduled for 3pm on Sunday despite the continuing horrendous weather.

Livingston had suggested Monday night for the match to be played which would have given Holt and his squad time to properly prepare for the match and the pitch a chance to recover from Storm Dennis.

That idea was quickly kicked out with Holt telling the Daily Record:

We’ll do what we’re obliged to do – but I’m not happy about it. It was too quick a fix and not nearly enough thought went into arriving at it.

A quick look at the forecast tells you it doesn’t look like it’s going to be any better for the 24 hours in between, so is the same thing going to happen to us and the fans again?

While Ibrox was unplayable a few miles away Hampden was able to host the match between Queens Park and Elgin City.

In England Arsenal have regularly played on a Monday ahead of Thursday night Europa League matches but it seems that Thursday’s match with Braga has been used as a reason not to reschedule the Livi match for Monday night.
