Celtic fans reacted with delight as Aberdeen held Steven Gerrard’s side to a 0-0 draw at Ibrox today.
On the back of losing 2-1 to Hearts at Tynecastle last week the Ibrox boss questioned his side’s bottle to go toe-to-toe with Celtic in a title race.
Neil Lennon’s side have won four out of four since their winter break in Dubai but at Ibrox panic is setting in with Celtic having the opportunity to go seven points in front if they can beat Hamilton tomorrow.
As half time was reached there was a little excitement among the Celtic support but with Andrew Dallas in charge there was always the prospect of a penalty being awarded to the home side.
Aberdeen survived beyond the hour mark, Ianis Hagi and Flo Kamberi were sent on for their debuts but to the 90th minute and beyond there was no breakthrough with the final whistle greeted with delight by Celtic fans online.
In his media conference Gerrard claimed that there was a lack of sparkle about his side, for Celtic fans there will be plenty of sparkle around if they can see off Hamilton and crank up the pressure ahead of the midweek matches when Hibs visit Ibrox.
